Narrowband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Analyst in Colorado Springs, CO. This position provides technical analysis, constellation monitoring, documentation analysis, and Combatant Command and other SATCOM user support on behalf of USSPACECOM—further enhancing and enabling the critical SATCOM capabilities it provides to the global SATCOM community.

• Provides technical analysis in support of Narrowband SATCOM operations, planning, monitoring, management and control activities, and EMI mitigation, resolution and recovery

• Assists with the Government’s revision of plans, policies, and documents to account for future changes in Narrowband SATCOM and satellite payload requirements

• Provides support for coordination activities with CCMs and other SATCOM users to assess availability of Narrowband SATCOM requirements to support current and future operations

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated relevant experience with the SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation process

• Experience with SATCOM planning for Wideband, Narrowband or Commercial systems

• (Desired) Familiarity with MUOS planning and resource provisioning

• (Desired) Familiarity with USSPACECOM organization

• (Desired) Familiarity with Joint processes, operations, and commands

(Desired) Degree or experience in a systems engineering related field with a specialization in computer science, information technology, or electrical engineering

• (Required) At least eight (8) years of relevant experience and/or education in communication principles theory in SATCOM, access processes • (Desired) At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in operation and maintenance of SATCOM-related space, airborne, and terrestrial networks, with strong experience in Narrowband-related systems. • (Required) At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in at least one of the following SATCOM-related communication and computer systems and capabilities: Wideband, Narrowband, Commercial, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) monitoring, detection and/or resolution, and DoD Gateways/Teleports
