Infinity, an exceptional and growing small business, is looking for experienced (1+ years), Sec+ certified, and cleared full-time IT Infrastructure Support Tech and System Administrator in the Colorado Springs Area for MILSATCOM system development and sustainment support at Schriever AFB.

The sustainment team needs your experience and skills maintaining and sustaining this vital satellite communications mission and the ground systems that support it. You will perform all of the typical duties and tasks involved with IT infrastructure support and basic administration of computer systems, such as rack-mounting hardware, imaging workstations, parts coordination, user management and support, running cable, installs, patching, configuring, and security compliance.

The most important aspect of our mission is keeping protected band satellite communications 100% available for US military users worldwide, from soldiers and marines on the ground, to worldwide command centers, to strategic USAF airborne platforms, to US Navy ships across the seven seas. The warfighters’ mission success is the measure of our success.

Your typical day

• Performing hardware installations such as rack-mounting IT equipment and servicing workstations

• Running ethernet and fiber-optic cabling, often under a raised floors or through risers

• Configuring and deploying workstations, including imaging OS and other software

• Basic user management and support such as account unlocks and password resets

• Configuring systems for deployment in a DoD Secret environment

• Maintaining your DoD 8570 certification (Sec+ or equivalent) through continuing education

• Managing/supporting parts procurement and delivery

• Supporting critical mission needs, possibly outside of normal business hours

• You will find personal satisfaction in the satisfaction of the customer and success of the warfighter

Junior and up experience levels are considered. Required Skills:

• Basic system administration of complex IT systems, workstations and servers, & networking

• Working with hand tools and cabling tools

• Physically able to work in non-standing positions in confined environments, utilizing appropriate safety precautions

• Maintaining and promoting excellent cyber hygiene and compliance for critical mission systems

• Having and maintaining current DoD 8570 certification, Security+ level or better

• Providing exceptional customer support to resolve user system problems

• Having schedule flexibility to support occasional shifts outside of normal business hours

• Working and communicating as part of an integrated team of military, civilians, and contractors from various companies

• Digging deep to find the right answers

• Constantly learning and growing

• Holding and keeping a Secret security clearance or higher

• Being part of a close-knit small business family

Also Great to Have

• Experience with DoD Secret systems and environments

• Knowledge of parts procurement and delivery practices

• Knowledge and experience with configuration management processes, practices, and tools (e.g. ClearQuest)

• A+ or similar IT hardware certifications

• Experience and understanding, military or contractor, working with military satellite communications missions, especially in a cleared operational environment; commercial satcom experience also valued.

• A degree in a STEM field, or relevant equivalent experience
