SATCOM EMI Analyst [2021-73]

J36 SATCOM Engineering & Analytical Support

Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Analyst in Colorado Springs, CO. This effort supports the planning, definition, implementation and operational management of USSPACECOM's global SATCOM capability.

Required Skills:

• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in military or commercial SATCOM systems (UHF/SHF/Commercial) and related systems

• Experience with at least one of the following SATCOM related communications and computer systems:

o Line of Sight;

o Land line;

o Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS);

o Single Channel Transponder;

o Ultra-High Frequency Follow-On (UFO);

o Fleet Satellite Communications System (FLTSAT)

o Global Broadcast System (GBS);

o Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS);

o Teleports;

o DoD Gateways;

o Mobile User Objective System (MUOS);

o Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS);

o Enhanced Polar System (EPS);

o Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Enterprise Network

Management System (JENM);

o Commercial SATCOM vendor operations and capabilities;

o Silent Sentry (SS)

o Enhanced Monitoring System (EMS);

o Consolidated Network Planning Software (CNPS);

o National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC);

o Airborne Command Post (ABNCP);

o Distributive Command and Control (C2) Node (DC2N);

o Joint MILSATCOM Network Integrated (JMINI); and

o Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System (JSMPS);

o Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST);

o Joint SATCOM Management Enterprise (JSME)

• (Desired) Demonstrated relative knowledge of intelligence capabilities, processes, and tasking mechanisms necessary to support Government efforts for performance of SATCOM Interference task

• (Desired) Experience with SATCOM planning for Wideband, Narrowband or Commercial systems

• (Desired) Experience in SATCOM Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) detection and/or resolution

• (Desired) Familiarity with USSPACECOM organization, Joint processes, operations, and commands



At least eight (8) years of demonstrated relevant experience with and/or education in communications principles and theory in SATCOM and access processes.

At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in military or commercial SATCOM systems (UHF/SHF/Commercial) and related systems
