Infinity is searching for a senior Ground System Network Architect (GSNA) to support development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. This handpicked candidate must possess technical expertise and leadership experience for assisting our space ground systems with establishing tenancies with the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider including their long lines connectivity from mission partners. In this position, you will provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO). The SpRCO program office, located at Kirtland AFB, NM, is a small, streamlined organization with dedicated, organic acquisition support functions: contracting, financial management, human resources, security, program management and technical engineering support that are critical in enabling the rapid response required for classified space programs. The mission is to develop and deliver operationally dominant space capabilities at the speed of warfighting relevance in response to Commander, U.S. Space Command requirements. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.

GSMA Principal Duty:

You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the program. Engineering responsibilities span technology domains including space rated hardware, software, sensors, and processors in an extremely fast-paced, responsive development environment. This SETA candidate will provide systems engineering and technical assistance support in leading-edge satellite ground systems, to include ground entry points, command, control, and communication systems to the Ground/Ops IPT lead. You must apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts for highly classified systems, while also effectively communicating complex results with management and executive leadership.

SETA Role and Responsibilities:

• Provides technical guidance to the development team and program manager and is responsible for all technical and programmatic requirements for ground system network architecture deliveries

• Responsible to oversee deficiency reporting and analysis as well as analyze deficiency resolution plan

• Primary contact responsible for ground system network design documentation to include system requirements, critical methods, high level design, and recommends changes or modifications

• Provide validation of nominal network system performance or identification of system degradation

• Review and approve ground system baseline changes

• Provide project management and technical leadership for ground system network activities

• Oversees and advises government program management on integration across full spectrum of interfaces, to include coordination with multiple mission partners

• Oversees program and capability documentation is sufficiently defined to operationally needed levels, oversees configuration and integration working groups, and coordinates with management to ensure interface definitions support delivery milestone

• Works high-visibility, mission critical aspects of program and performs all duties independently

• Oversees efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job

• Translates complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommended courses of action

• Communicates clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written

Required experience:

• Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience

• Experience designing network solutions to meet customer requirements

• Skilled in designing network architecture to meet customer specification

• Experience creating customer requirements for designing custom network solutions

• Experience with iterative testing, development, deployment/installation, and operations of network architectural solution(s)

• Leadership in development of secure data communications using cryptographic devices, firewalls, etc.

• Subject matter expert on computer networking architectures and various topologies

• Experience supervising installation, configuring, & managing of network switches and routers (versed in OSPF, MPLS, SDN, routing/switching on Juniper and Cisco hardware platforms)

• Experience with Active Directory, domain controllers, IP addressing, DNS, remote access, VLANs, and VoIP systems

• Experience in working networks at all classification levels (Unclassified/S/TS)

• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, and risk management

• Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS)


• Cloud related AWS/Azure certification


Desired skills:

• Five (5) years of relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience with SAP and/or SCI

• Understanding of operational space environment and corresponding mission user needs

• Experience with implementing cloud technology (AWS/Azure) to network environment

• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud solutions

• System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to Government program office

• Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition

• Fluency with IC organizations

An applicable engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or possess a Professional Engineering license; MA/MS/ME degree
