Infinity, an exceptional and growing small business, is looking for an experienced (3+ years) and cleared full-time Systems Engineer in the Colorado Springs Area for MILSATCOM system development and sustainment support at Peterson AFB.

The sustainment team needs your experience and skills improving, maintaining, and sustaining this vital satellite communications mission and the ground systems that support it. You will perform software development and related activities on various products and systems.

The most important aspect of our mission is keeping protected band satellite communications 100% available for US military users worldwide, from soldiers and marines on the ground, to worldwide command centers, to strategic USAF airborne platforms, to US Navy ships across the seven seas. The warfighters’ mission success is the measure of our success.

• The primary responsibility will be to support the Ground SW & DB teams working off technical debt on the Advanced EHF & Milstar System Database (ASDB), Missions Operations Element (MOPS) and Test Training, and Simulation Element (TTSE) system configurations.

• This position involves working closely with the database and SW engineering teams to fix, update and/or create SW/DB Tools.

Required Skills:

• Development on Military Satellite Ground systems (operations and development/maintenance)

• Working with a geographically distributed engineering organization

• Oracle Database (SQL)

• Agile Methodology

• Automated Test

• 1+ years of Git/GitLab

• 5+ years of script development (PERL, Python)

• 3+ years of Lifecycle Experience

• 3+ years of UNIX OS platform

• 3+ years of UNIX OS scripting (ZSH)

• Working and communicating as part of an integrated team of military, civilians, and contractors from various companies

• Digging deep to find the right answers

• Constantly learning and growing

• Holding and keeping a Secret security clearance (mandatory requirement)

• Being part of a close-knit small business family

Also Great to Have

• AEHF ground software domain experience preferred

• Experience developing other satellite ground system application software

• Experience with DoD Secret systems and environments

• Knowledge and experience with software configuration management processes, practices, and tools (e.g. ClearCase/ClearQuest)

• Understanding the military’s satellite communications missions and operations

• Experience, military or contractor, working with military satellite communications missions, especially in a cleared operational environment; commercial satcom experience also valued.

• A degree in a STEM field, or relevant equivalent experience
