Infinity, an exceptional and growing small business, is looking for experienced (3+ years), certified, and cleared full-time Windows Systems Administrators in the California Bay-Area for MILSATCOM system development and sustainment support in Sunnyvale.

The sustainment team needs your experience and skills maintaining and sustaining this vital satellite communications mission and the ground systems that support it. You will perform all of the typical duties and tasks involved with the administration of IT systems, such as installs, patching, configuring, performing backups, user management, and security compliance.

The most important aspect of our mission is keeping protected band satellite communications 100% available for US military users worldwide, from soldiers and marines on the ground, to worldwide command centers, to strategic USAF airborne platforms, to US Navy ships across the seven seas. The warfighters’ mission success is the measure of our success.

• Performing administration and maintenance of Windows Servers and Workstations, and related systems, including installations and updates

• Enforcing and configuring security and RMF policies and processes

• Configuring and deploying VMWare servers and virtual machines

• Providing friendly and helpful user support by debugging and resolving end user system problems

• Participating in the configuration management of the various program systems

• Configuring systems for deployment in a DoD Secret environment

• Maintaining your DoD 8570 certification (Sec+ or equivalent) through continuing education

• Managing/supporting software licensing and procurement

• Supporting critical mission needs, possibly outside of normal business hours

• You will find personal satisfaction in the satisfaction of the customer and success of the warfighter

Required Skills:

• Administering complex IT systems, Windows workstations and servers, & networking

• Maintaining and promoting excellent cyber hygiene and compliance for critical mission systems

• Having and maintaining current DoD 8570 certification, Security+ level or better

• Understanding and implementing RMF (Risk Management Framework)

• Providing exceptional customer support to resolve user system problems

• Implementing virtualization, in particular VMWare-based systems

• Having schedule flexibility to support occasional shifts outside of normal business hours

• Working and communicating as part of an integrated team of military, civilians, and contractors from various companies

• Digging deep to find the right answers

• Constantly learning and growing

• Holding and keeping a Secret security clearance or higher

• Being part of a close-knit small business family

Also Great to Have

• Experience with DoD Secret systems and environments

• Knowledge of software licensing and procurement practices

• Knowledge and experience with software configuration management processes, practices, and tools (e.g. ClearQuest)

• Windows 7-10, Windows Server 2008-2019, WSUS

• MCSE or similar IT certifications

• Understanding the military’s satellite communications missions and operations

• Experience, military or contractor, working with military satellite communications missions, especially in a cleared operational environment; commercial satcom experience also valued.

• A degree in a STEM field, or relevant equivalent experience
