RF Technician [2021-40]

The successful candidate will work with our talented staff of professionals at Infinity Systems Engineering as an RF Technician in Dixon, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on communications/electronic equipment. Will need to apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems that can typically be solved by properly evaluating and interpreting manufacturer’s manuals or similar technical documents. Skilled knowledge necessary to operate and maintain high power transmitters, transceivers, receivers and microwave equipment. Conduct orientation and technical instruction (OJT) for lower level technicians on the operation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of station communications/electronics equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Tech or Site Manager.

Required Skills:

•Capable of operating, tuning, testing, aligning, inspecting, patching and configuring all communications equipment as necessary to meet operational requirements.

•Ability to utilizing state-of-the-art techniques and test equipment, must perform all quality control tests and performance monitoring of equipment/systems.

•Knowledge of test requirements that may be performed to include: intermodulation, distortion, carrier suppression, distortion and level measurements, VSWR, power, frequency, modulation rates, and such other tests or measurements necessary to ensure that all equipment is operated at required performance levels.

•Capable of diagnosing, isolating, and correcting malfunctions, and performing organizational level maintenance on communications/electronic equipment, including, but not limited to: AN/FRT 72 and HFGCS equipment, LBUCS or two (2) years specialized experience in operation and maintenance of the noted equipment at a military or commercial transmitter site.

•CSWF level is IAT2 for this effort.

•The technicians must have one the following IAT Certs: Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP or higher level in accordance with DoD 8570.01.M

Preferred:

AN/FRT 72 and High Frequency Global Communications System (HFGCS) equipment, Low Band Universal Communication System (LBUCS)



Completion of a junior college or technical school that included courses in electronics, or communication technology or equivalent.

Two (2) years related experience and two (2) years specialized experience relating to the Required Skills above. Four plus (4+) years specific experience may be substituted for educational requirements and formal course training.
