Space Threat Analyst [2021-06]

The Space Threat Analyst plays a mission-critical role responsible for analyzing adversary space doctrine, strategy, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies. You will work with engineers, operators, and other space subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess threats, support senior leader decision making, and provide outlooks, risks, and opportunities.

Additional tasks include:

• Research foreign space and counterspace forces, activities, and capabilities including, but not limited to, civilian and military organizations; command structure, leadership, equipment, weapons, and systems and their readiness and disposition

• Conduct analysis of foreign space facilities; operations, exercises and training; tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs); vulnerabilities; assembly and launch capabilities; dual-use systems and technologies; and emerging space and counterspace technologies

• Develop, coordinate, and refine counterspace warning problems and associated indicators

• Monitors and reports on adversary space and counterspace assets OR&D

• Develops pattern-of-life analysis on adversary space and counterspace forces and systems

Required Skills:

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field

• Demonstrated experience working in the space domain

• Knowledge of the DoD, IC, and other USG organizations with space equities

• Demonstrated experience as an intelligence analyst, collection strategist, and/or collection manager at a Combatant Command, Service Component, or other DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) organization

• Skilled at research, analysis, and writing; experience authoring reports, assessments, responses to requests for information, talking points, briefings, and other products.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (required) Master’s degree in relevant technical field (desired) (operational experience will be considered in lieu of Masters)

10+ years experience in relevant career field
