TITLE: Grounds Maintainer/Custodian [2020-76]

PROGRAM: NCTAMS NRTF

DESCRIPTION: 1. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a general nature with custodial, facilities, and grounds maintenance. Performs minor building and facilities maintenance and repair, on both interior and exterior areas as necessary. This may include plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems, electrical, lighting, masonry, roofing, corrosion control, painting, sheet metal work, etc.

2. Perform grounds maintenance functions such as field maintenance, and able to use various equipment such as tractors, riding mowers, weed removal equipment and a variety of hand tools.

3. Complete quality control inspection checklists and reports. Use the maintenance action form (MAF) to report deficiencies discovered and make corrective actions.

4. Perform other duties as directed by the Facility Supervisor and Site Manager.

Required Skills:

Experience in the areas of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems, electrical, lighting, masonry, roofing, corrosion control, painting, sheet metal work, etc.

Experience with tractors, riding mowers, weed removal equipment and a variety of hand tools.

DEGREE REQUIRED: High school or Vocational School graduate with emphasis on building and/or construction trades.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years of experience in grounds maintenance, repair, and/or modifications of building structures and facilities.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Secret
