Senior Systems Administrator/Integrator [2020-44]


The Senior Systems administrator will be responsible for deploying and supporting system engineering design,analysis, planning, troubleshooting and enhancements across multiple programs, complex systems or networks with respect to SATCOM ground systems. The candidate will work closely with government customers and a cross-functional team (PMO, engineering, development, test, integration) to develop and modernize ground system architectures and capabilities from initial concept, to design and manufacture, to on-going system sustainment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• System design

• System hardware/software integration

• Risk management

• System documentation updates

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience in leading and guiding a diverse group of administrators across multiple disciplines

• Experience with model-based systems engineering

• Thorough understanding of MOSA and SOA design principles

• Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization

• Self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers

• Articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience with satellite ground systems

• Experience with SATCOM mission planning

• Experience with Linux

• Experience with Oracle

• Experience with VMWare

• Experience with SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices

• Security+ or better certification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or engineering equivalent

8+ years’ administration experience

Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI
